As a Health Insurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert guidance and support to our clients in navigating the complex world of health insurance.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the health insurance industry, along with a deep understanding of policies, regulations, and industry trends.
We have always been a P&C office looking to expand and offer our customers benifits.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert on health insurance policies, regulations, and industry practices.
Assess clients' health insurance needs and provide personalized recommendations.
Conduct thorough analysis of health insurance plans, including coverage, premiums, deductibles, and co-pays.
Educate clients on different health insurance options, helping them make informed decisions.
Assist clients with enrollment, claims processing, and other administrative tasks.
Stay up-to-date with changes in health insurance laws, regulations, and best practices.
Collaborate with insurance carriers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and transactions.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing clients' inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the health insurance industry, with a focus on group employer plans.
In-depth knowledge and expertise in group employer health insurance plans, including but not limited to group health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and other related offerings.
Familiarity with different types of group plans, such as fully insured plans, self-funded plans, and health maintenance organizations (HMOs).
Proven track record of successfully managing group employer relationships and providing exceptional service to employers and their employees.
Ability to analyze and compare group employer plan options, considering factors such as coverage, cost, network providers, and employee needs.
Strong understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
Experience in negotiating and renewing group employer contracts and agreements.
Knowledge of wellness programs, employee assistance programs (EAPs), and other value-added services that can enhance group employer plans.
Familiarity with insurance technology and software used in managing group employer plans, such as benefit administration systems and online enrollment platforms.
